A pedestal grinder is used for cleaning and removing metal. The white abrasive wheel on this grinder is for shaping and sharpening tools for the metal lathes. The wire wheel on the other side can be used to smooth rough cuts, remove dross from plasma-cut parts, and to strip mill scale, rust, paint, or varnish from metal parts.
