Description:

The belt sander is used for cleaning and removing metal. The 80 grit belt is a lighter, more refined removal of material than the pedestal grinders. This is the abrasive tool to use with aluminum. (The wheels on the pedestal grinders would become clogged and ruined if used with aluminum.) The belt can be used to smooth rough cuts, remove dross from plasma-cut parts, and to strip mill scale, rust, paint, or varnish from metal parts.
