What are “Watch & Learns”?
Watch & Learns…
… are the first step in the adage “See one, do one, teach one”. (If you’re interested in the “Do one” step, take a look at our Make & Take classes!)
… don’t require membership or prior checkout classes. This means that you can take a Watch & Learn that utilizes the table saw without having taken our 3-saws class and being “checked out” on it. These are great gateway classes for if you’ve never been to Maker Works before and would like to witness our tools firsthand and in action — more close-up than a tour.
… help you understand why a tool exists. Why should you learn how to use a planer, Epilog laser, or plasma cutter? How do these tools help you in your goals? These classes are intended to give you a clearer perspective on the capabilities and potential each tool holds.
… foster curiosity. Questions are encouraged and allow for a comprehensive learning experience tailored to your interests and aspirations. We keep our class size small so that you always have the chance to talk one-on-one with your instructor!
