Maker Gallery

Many of our members create beautiful, functional, unique items for sale; some examples are below.
If you make things here at Maker Works and would like to be included, please let us know!

EWUNET TADESSE

Ewunet designs and makes everyday objects for the “young and young at heart professional” in a variety of materials (leather, wood, metal).

Lana Krolikowski

Lana makes throw pillows shaped like the dice used for TTRPG gaming. Each pillow has a hidden zipper pocket to store dice or other treasures and is super squishable for hugging and cuddling. She’s recently branched out into handmade wooden dice boxes and trays as well.

Doug Worthington

Doug creates pottery, using the lasers to create stamps for some of his pieces.

Emily LoPresto

Emily makes functional ceramic objects created by slip casting colored porcelain with plaster molds. Her mold making process starts in a digital 3D modeling program resulting in clean modern functional ceramics. Mugs, bowls, vases, planters and plates.

Tom Peretti

Tom uses the woodshop to create little free libraries, book binding presses, garden hose holders, and more. Please contact Maker Works if you’d like to contact Tom.

Laura Earle

“I make custom furniture – statement pieces that bridge sculptural sensibilities with functionality. I'm also an independent curator, developing traveling art exhibits to address social justice issues, such as ending racism and reversing climate change.”

Irene LIN Wei

Irene studied the ancient craft of making pith flowers in Taiwan and meticulously handcrafts each flower to order.

Jim Peters

Jim designs and builds acoustic and electric guitars. He typically builds 6 string guitars as well as the occasional cigar box guitar made in the roots style using actual cigar boxes.

Chris Hippler

“I make sterling silver jewelry using real bees and other found natural objects. I wax the insects, spread the wings to simulate flight then cast using the lost wax casting method.”

ANDria Bellamy

Andria creates wood earrings, jewelry, accessories and display stands using the lasers and the table saw.

Cashmere Morley

Cashmere makes engraved coasters & frames, puzzles and woodcut items using the lasers.

BECKY GROVER

Becky makes art quilts and quilting supplies. She uses the lasers to cut design elements.

Jason Stevens

Jason & his team design and build exhibits for museums, galleries, parks and welcome centers, retails and private clients. This includes everything from pedestals for artifacts to furniture to specialty hardware to interactive and electronic exhibits.

Kirstin Hensley

Kirstin uses Inkscape and lasers to create ornament designs of Ann Arbor landmarks and also the Upper Peninsula.
