Marty

Marty Hedler is a long-time member and Guest Instructor at Maker Works. You’ll often find him prototyping and building museum exhibits, consulting with members, maintaining equipment, and teaching everything from Inkscape and Intro to CNC to Fusion 360. Marty will be teaching the Inkscape class.

Eric

Eric helps manage the day to day operations of Maker Works, and has been teaching classes here for over a decade. He’s trained over a thousand students to safely use tools in the metal, wood, and craft shop. He also happens to be an experienced coach, hockey player, ice climber, and provider of First Aid!

Randy

Randy Williams has an Industrial & Operations Engineering degree and a love for CAD. He manages the day-to-day operations of the shop that keep his gaming addiction flowing. He’s fluent in a variety of CAD and vector-based editing programs, and teaches a number of CNC classes. Randy will be teaching the CNC Plasma Cutter class.

Al

Al McWaters received a Bachelors in Furniture Design and turned that into a career designing and fabricating exhibits for the University of Michigan. He currently provides custom solutions through his company SkyShips Design, maintains more than his fair share of industrial equipment at Maker Works, and both designs and teaches classes for Maker Works. Al will be teaching the ShopBot CNC class.

Dale Grover

Dale Grover, co-founder of Maker Works, has a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and a background in rehabilitative engineering. Dale has been building and updating CNC machines since 2008 and teaches several classes at Maker Works on CNC machines and software. Dale will be teaching the Fusion 360 CAM, Tormach CNC mill, and G-code classes.

Daniel

Daniel Grover is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Games and Interactive Media. While extremely comfortable using and teaching everything computer-related, you’ll also find him teaching MIG/TIG welding. He puts any spare time he has into electrifying motorcycles. Daniel will be teaching the Epilog Laser Class.
